Coming in Ethyx v1.3: Kimi, deep links, and ops readiness
Note: v1.3 is not shipped yet. This post previews what we are building on develop after v1.2. Details may change before release.
v1.2 focused on subscriptions, promo codes, and Google Drive. v1.3 expands models, navigation, and operator tooling while we continue patch releases on the v1.2 line (today: v1.2.11).
What we are targeting
- Kimi (Moonshot) as a chat provider—
kimi-k2.6in the catalog with visible “Thinking” / reasoning streams, multimodal image attachments, and Ethyx web-search tools where configured. - Dual conversation titles—a short sidebar label and a longer display title for exports and admin surfaces, refreshed together by auto-title when appropriate.
- Discrete chat URLs—
/chat/conversation/{id}and/chat/project/{id}so refresh and browser back/forward restore the thread you expect; legacy query URLs redirect cleanly. - Google Drive export hardening—scope review, clearer operator setup docs, and more reliable export paths deferred from v1.2 UX patches.
- Dedicated chat queue workers—move turn processing to a
chatqueue with tuned worker layout so idlequeue_wait_msstays low and chat is not blocked behind mail or other jobs.
What is explicitly deferred
Kimi instant (non-thinking) variants, video attachments, Kimi native Formula search, chat list virtualization (revisit only after dynamic-height QA passes), and public billing checkout remain out of v1.3 unless scope changes.
How to follow along
We ship minors roughly weekly and patches as needed. Watch this blog and the in-app version label for v1.3.0 when it lands. Until then, v1.2.x remains the production line.
